automating the infrastructure of the home
New for August 2010 SmartHome Controls now offer to supply the new range of Heatmiser wireless controls.
New for 2010 SmartHome Controls have launched a design, supply, install and commissioning service for the popular heatmiser range of thermostats for London and the South East.
At SmartHome Controls we have the expertise gained from a decade supplying the intelligent smartkontrols heating systems to properties across the UK.
However we do recognise that some properties and budgets do not necessarily demand the level of intelligent control offered by a smartkontrols system.
Aimed at new builds and refurbishments SmartHome Controls are offering to home owners, self builders and developers a thermostatic controls system.
The heatmiser range provides the option of;

We exhibited at the Grand Designs Live Show and met hundreds of potential customers who came to talk to us about their projects or to discuss their controls requirement when they visited our stand.

During 2008 SmartHome Controls saw a growth in projects throughout the UK including not only the 12 apartments in Bishops Avenue but also major projects in Stafford, Oxfordshire, Hampstead, St Johns Wood, Knightsbridge and Highgate.

Hundreds of new and refurbished homes are now enjoying the comfort of intelligent heating controls provided and supported by SmartHome Controls.
During September SmartHome Controls completed the project to provide the intelligent heating controls for the prestigious development of 12 apartments by Barratt Homes at Allingham Court. Update November 2008 - All 12 Apartments have now been sold.
For the fourth consecutive year we exhibited at the highly popular SmartHome Show at the NEC. The thousand+ visitors to our stand were able discuss their controls requirements directly with our engineers and to leave the show with a clear understanding of how the modern home can be intelligently managed.

The Threshing Barn – 5 Years on as seen on Channel 4 Wednesday 19th March 2008
The Threshing Barn was a project completed in March 2003 and involved a beautiful conversion of a Victorian Threshing Barn.

Philip and Angela owners of this19th century threshing barn in Surrey are reaping the benefits of 21st century heating control thanks to intelligent smartkontrols technology. The smartkontrols system is an innovative, hi-tech feature of this unique conversion project which featured as part of Channel 4’s Grand Designs series.
5 Years ago Philip said;
“When we heard about the smartkontrols system it became clear that this was the technological innovation in heating control that we were looking for, enabling us to efficiently achieve maximum system performance, fuel efficiency and ease of use.”
In March 2008 Angela reports that;
“With the current price of oil we would struggle to afford the fuel bills without the smartkontrols system. It allow us to schedule individual occupation times for different areas and to turn off the heating in any unoccupied sections of the house.”
“As well as the economy it is wonderful to have the luxury of warm bathroom floors on spring mornings while knowing the heating is not on in the rest of the house“
The control of the heating and hot water is provided by the SmartServer, an intuitive, easy to use web based interface. The SmartServer also provides a visual representation of the heating status and current temperatures in each room.

At last a way of remotely controlling the home without having to install a completely new heating system.
At SmartHome Controls we have been supplying intelligent heating, ventilation and lighting control systems for many years and often been asked if our remote control options are available to people who do not have a smartkontrols system and now this is possible.
The answer is the SmartHome Text, a small controller with a built in GSM ( mobile ) phone to keep you in touch with your property.

For the 6th year we exhibited at the SmartHome Show that runs alongside the HomeBuilding and Renovating Show at the NEC.

With over 1,000 visitors to our stand and 250 prospective projects discussed, this show provides an excellent opportunity for end clients
to meet and discuss their plans.
Self builders and renovators can often leave their decisions on controlling the home's heating and lighting until it is either technically
too late or can longer be fit within the budget.
The SmartHome show provides the opportunity to meet a wide range
of specialists in the home technology field, to collect the information required to plan and budget successfully.

and a demonstration of lighting controls on our fully functional model house as seen on Channel 4's
The Gadget Show.
Located at the NEC and running alongside the HomeBuilding and Renovating show this was the event to attend and SmartHome Controls had a stand at the show in the new "high tech village" that was a major feature of the show.
The "high tech showcase" was started last year and was such a success that it was repeated this year at the NEC 2006
One of the attractions of the SmartHome Show are the free seminar presentations in the CEDIA theatre.

A number of major property developers and interior designers were invited to the magnificent Brocket Hall Golf Club
to participate in an event in June 2006.
This was a unique opportunity to learn about the latest in technology and to participate in the first of a series of golf days.
The event was sponsored by the custom installer iLife, SmartHome Controls and AMX and all the participants had the opportunity to see products and to talk first hand with the people who install them.
From here it was off to the practice ground for everyone to hone their skills at driving, pitching and
putting under the watchful eye of 2 golf professionals, who were there to dispense advice if required.
Then after a lunch it was off to the first tee. The course was magnificent, with water featuring on a number of holes and we had the most magnificent weather for the event.
When the day was over there were some prizes, the opportunity to have a classic car of their choice for a weekend.
