If you want to view and interact with your smartkontrols system from a computer, PDA or tablet PC we have the solution for you. The smartkontrols WebServer. This allows standard "web style" pages to be displayed on your screen and from here you can view, or adjust your times of occupation, adjust the setpoint temperatures for your home or turn lights on and off.

This means that it is simple to utilise your PC infrastructure in your home to access the control system. For example if you have a wireless Ethernet network in your home, you can connect to the system from your pocket PC from whichever room you are in and adjust your system.

At SmartHome Controls we recommend and distribute the Quaduro Quadpad that we supply and setup as a package for use to not only access our SmartServer and to control the heating but with its 8.4" screen can be used for window based applications.

It also works across the internet if desired, allowing the homeowner to control operation of these systems from anywhere in the world.

Remote Control

SMS Text Messaging from mobile phone

The smartEText Module works with our GSM Modem to access a cellular phone network.

It can use any standard cell phone to “text” the house (but only the homeowner’s nominated phones will work).

The messaging features allow all lights to be turned on or off, and set holiday mode for the HVAC system. The house then texts you back to tell you what it is going to do.

3rd Party Touchscreens (AMX, Crestron etc) Touchscreens

The link describes some of the other touch screens and whole house automation systems that are available.

The smartkontrols system can integrate with these to provide a seamlessly integrated solution for the property.

Integration with other technologies in the house

go to cedia web site

With so many different electronic systems now being installed in the typical house, getting the user interface right is crucial.

Although not specialists in Audio, Video, Security systems ourselves, we are very used to working alongside other specialists and dedicated custom installation companies to ensure an integrated approach to the way the house eventually works for the homeowner.

Often, these companies are (like ourselves) members of CEDIA (the Custom Electronic Design & Installation Association) which works to uphold high standards in the supply and installation of electronic systems of all types in homes.
