Installation Guide

The SmartHome Text dialler is a remote control unit that allows you to control your heating with a phone call and it will report its status using an SMS message that can be sent to your mobile, or your home.

Installation

The SmartHome Text can be wired in one of two configurations with the existing timeclock / programmer and thermostats that are installed in the property. Alternatively if you wish to purchase a new programmer at the same time please contact us. Contact SmartHome Controls

Installation type 1 allows the normal occupation times to be set on the programmer and these are enabled by the use of the SmartHome Text unit. For example if the times for each day are set to 7:00am to 22:00, when the SmartHome Text is set to enable the heating, these times will operate normally. When the SmartHome Text is set to disable the heating, then the heating will not operate in the property.

Installation type 2 allows the SmartHome Text to override the normal occupation times set on the programmer and turn the heating on immediately.

Alternate Wiring
